Grieving Isn’t Linear

“They told me time would heal.
But time doesn’t move in a straight line — it circles back.
Some days, I laugh again.
Some days, I break again.
Grief isn’t a journey forward — it’s a spiral inward.”

Healing isn’t forgetting — it’s remembering differently.

“Just when I think I’ve healed…
a song, a scent, a song on a Sunday morning — and I’m right back there.
But this time, I don’t drown.
I float.”

“Healing doesn’t mean you stop missing them. It means you learn to breathe underwater.

The waves still come, but they don’t own you anymore.”

“To anyone still hurting:
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are still healing — just differently than they expected.
And that’s okay.”
