Where did your name come from?
I have no idea why my mom decided to name me Kathy because it’s literally the most boring name in history. But it could have been worse because she contemplated naming me after herself and her name was Gertrude. Just imagine being named Gertrude as a member of Generation X. I would have been teased for all eternity.
Oh, shame on you! Kathy is NOT a boring name!!!! Two of my very best friends are Kathy… and I love that name! God bless your mom for giving you such a beautiful name. Embrace it just as you embrace your “fucked up” life!! ❤
Kathy is a nice name. I like the nickname Kat or Kath. Now Gertrude…. Hmmm… Gert? I’m sure your mom is a lovely woman, but I think you are right – that may have been tough for a child in the Gen x era.
