Most Black folks are regular people. We go to work and take care of our families. We have regular friends and family members. We live in regular neighborhoods. We lead regular lives. I know that the social media has destroyed the brain cells of so many people and got them thinking stupid shit but damn. It’s okay to be regular my people but don’t think I’m telling folks to be underachieving sots. I’m just saying stop feeling ashamed of Blackness all the time.

Last week, a statue in New York that was created by British artist Thomas J Price was unveiled and a lot of Black folks have a problem with it because it’s not quite the representation that they are looking for. I guess a statue of a Black woman that you see everyday isn’t good enough for these self hating Negroes but believe it or not, I have a crumb of empathy for them. I know how hard it has been living under a system that has declared your kind as inherently inferior. It’s devastating for the soul but fuck the system. Fuck them all and live Black people. We weren’t even expected to survive our journey in this country but we did. Our very existence is living proof of our tenacity to survive so please. Don’t let them win.
