Do you remember life before the internet?
I remember life before the internet. Back in the ancient days when knowledge came from heavy encyclopedias lined up proudly on bookshelves like sacred artifacts. Back when the Yellow Pages was practically a Bible and finding a phone number required patience, determination, and strong wrists from flipping all those damn pages. Back when mastering the Dewey Decimal System was considered an art form and the library felt like a cathedral for curious minds.
We didn’t have Google in our pockets. We had memory. We had librarians. We had card catalogs. We had to actually search for information instead of having it instantly thrown at us by an algorithm that also wants to sell us air fryers and emotional dysfunction.
And honestly? There was something beautiful about the slowness of it all. I miss those days. Sighs in nostalgia.
